first, there was the horrible mistake of seating us at the worst seat in the house a.k.a. the Sucker Table. thanks a lot but i know where oversight ends and condescension begins. specifically asked for a seat with a view a week ago. then, there was the food. it's overrated. perhaps i should bring a large DSLR, paper pad and laptop along? then maybe i will be taken more seriously. maybe everyone was suffering from the monday blues. or is monday the unofficial kitchen experimental day? anyhow if you must go: please do not go on a monday.

bottomless cranberry juice and orange juice.

tomato tart. cherry tomatoes, cream cheese, chives (?) on parmesan cheese. everything went downhill from here.

beef on hot stone. all tapas served 2-3 at time. it was cold by the time i got to this. I AM VERY UPSET.

cucumber gazpacho with an excuse of stale bread and sour cream.

caesar salad.

warm artichoke soup.

feta cheese ravioli. oversalted.

duck rilette

pan-fried seabass (dory? whitefish? kingfish?) with vegetable tempura. btw the green stroke adorning all the dishes tastes like pureed and strained green maraschino cherries.

grilled scallop (or was it seared?) with orange sauce. whatever the case the chef went overboard with the oil. scallops smaller than my thumbnail. then again, 一分钱一份货. i can't expect kingsized ones right.

cucumber, preserved ginger, vegetable maki. with burnt rice. hmm. on purpose? cow liked this. then again, he is a vegetable-guzzling cow. figures.

chili con carne. chicken instead of beef. served in a preserves jar. one of the better dishes by virtue of it being warm. bordering on being chicken tikka masala.

burger. stringy, cold, depressed hamburger sandwiched between stale white buns. sad and grey. homemade paperthin potato chips were good!!!! either that or they refried prepackaged potato chips. eww...

here comes another order of the tomato tart.

too bad you couldn't save the meal.

blackforest cake.

~~creme brulee~~ panna cotta with gooseberry, grapefruit and mandarin orange.

raspberry jelly / gelatin, chocolate truffles.

there goes $37++ down the drain.
